The Snake River Local Section of the American Chemical Society is made up of chemists and scientists who live in Southwestern and Central Idaho and Eastern Oregon. The section received its charter in 2007. We are a science education and service organization; whose mission is to sponsor educational and public outreach programs to increase knowledge of chemistry and science in our communities.
