Towards 2045 with The ACS GCI Pharma Roundtable: A Roadmap for Sustainable Medicines

The ACS GCI Pharma Roundtable has been designing a Roadmap for NetZero/Sustainable Medicines. The focus will be to define a path to produce Net-Zero Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) while minimizing other hazards to human health and the environment within the next two decades. The areas to be covered are: 1. Circularity & Renewable Chemicals 2. More Efficient Synthetic Methods 3. Safer Synthetic Conditions & Substances 4. Process Intensification & Electrification 5. Metrics & Decision-Making Presentations on how this will be achieved by including the work of the focus teams and collaborations with academics, government and other consortia.
